Hello from Craft House ATL

It’s been a while since I have written to you, my quilt-y folx. The world is on fire and my little corner of it felt insignificant. I recently realized, however, that making our art and being in community with our people are going to save us. My part in that, helping to make your quilt tops into finished embodiments of your hard work and creativity, is significant.

In that spirit, I’m going to be starting up free, monthly craft time meet-ups again. I’ll also be offering some knitting classes over the summer. Did you know I run a summer craft camp for kids? It’s called Intro to Fiber Arts and this year it runs from July 14-18, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. for grades 3-5. You can register here!

Meanwhile I am quilting away on my longarm. Adding computerized capabilities has been a game changer! I can take on more quilts (yay!), it produces much more even stitches and thread tension, has almost unlimited pantograph patterns to choose from, and the ability to scale and morph those patterns to work with your unique quilts.

I am going to leave it here for now, but let’s be in touch, ok?
